In order to deliver our market-leading software and services, we rely on the skills and expertise of our employees. From industry influencers to 8th grade pianists, from marathon runners to expert cake makers, our employee spotlight is designed to shine a light on just a few of the talented individuals who work at networx.

This month we have been chatting with our Project Coordinator, Sarah Luty to find out what she likes about working at networx and where her favourite place is!

How long have you worked at networx?

I’ve been with the company for nearly two years now. When I joined I don’t think anyone could have predicted the last 12 months at networx, but thankfully as a business we have remained in a strong position and maintained a healthy stream of new system implementations and developments to work on.

What role do you play within #teamnetworx?

As the Project Coordinator I am responsible for project managing all client projects and internal developments. It’s my responsibility to not only ensure that our implementation process for our clients is managed efficiently, but also that all internal projects are managed in a professional manner too.

On a day to day basis I support the entire running of all projects which come through the implementations team and become the first point of contact for all new clients to ensure that they have necessary support and guidance that they need from initial consultation right through to go-live. Meeting deadlines and ensuring projects are delivering to the best possible standard is a key part of my role.

As a software business, our technology is always evolving so another element of my responsibilities includes supporting the management and roll out of new developments by running regular sprint review meetings and maintaining all necessary project documentation.

It’s great to be able to work with multiple teams and oversee lots of different projects at one time. No two days are the same!

What do you like most about your job as a Project Coordinator?

I love and appreciate the amount of responsibility and involvement I have in all aspects of the business. I get to work with every team and have a real insight into lots of aspects of what we do. This has helped me to gain a real understanding of what is involved in all areas of the company from Sales to Marketing to IT.

I’m trusted to handle lots of different projects. I’ve also recently completed my Prince 2 Qualification through networx, which has made me stronger in my role and helped me to implement new processes to improve efficiencies across the business.

What 3 words would people use to describe you?

Organised – This is obviously a vital skill that I rely on as part of my role. I simply need to know what, where and when and have everything I need to hand when I need it.

Ambitious – I’ve only been with the business a relatively short time, but I have already made significant progress in the role. I’m also keen to maximise the opportunities available to me outside of the work environment too.

Caring – It’s not just a case of getting the job done. I genuinely care about delivering the best possible service and solutions to our clients.

What is your favourite place in the world?

My favourite place has to be New York.  I was lucky enough to go for my 21st birthday and I would love to go back as soon it’s possible!

Central Park and the Highline are two of my favourite touristy sites to see, but the general buzz and fast pace of the city is what makes it an exciting place to visit.

What tv show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love?

Gossip Girl! It’s genuinely another reason why I love New York!

I’ve always been interested in fashion as a hobby and Gossip Girl really epitomises glamour and the world of high end fashion!
