Citizen is one of the UK’s most trusted social housing providers, owning and managing 30,000 homes for diverse communities across the West Midlands, from urban tower blocks to rural villages and towns.

Challenge

Due to the COVID19 crisis, maintenance and repair services had been put on hold, leaving a lot of outstanding work to be completed, providing the need for Citizen to recruit a variety of Trade engineers across various locations covering the West Midlands.

Solution

Alongside their core system, in order to recruit for these roles networx managed three social media campaigns on Facebook for Citizen. Campaigns were run for Electricians, Plumbers and Carpenters across 3 locations including; Worcester, Birmingham and Coventry.

Each campaign was successful in sourcing talent and had an impressive impact by creating vast amounts of exposure over the 3 campaigns.

  • Electrician – Reach 457,450 and Impressions 3,020,068
  • Plumber – Reach 771,808 and Impressions 3,027,205
  • Carpenter – Reach 415,194 and Impressions 2,996,935

networx utilised different tools on Facebook to achieve the link clicks, reach and impressions of each campaign. This included video adverts, role boosts and the sponsorship of posts which amplifies the reach of content to appear to a wider range of targeted audiences.

The campaigns have also increased candidates’ awareness of Citizen as a prominent local employer and has effectively increased their brand awareness.
